Tommy is a member of the Moore Foundation's Patient Care Program as a patient care fellow for the Diagnostic Excellence Initiative.
Tommy comes to the foundation after recent leadership roles at various Bay Area healthcare analytics start-ups, where he worked closely with data science, engineering, clinical, and commercial teams. He has prior experience advising and collaborating with stakeholders from health plans, health systems, and large employers on projects relating to care management, population health, and healthcare and wellness benefits. Tommy also previously worked with the team at Stanford University’s Clinical Excellence Research Center on public-interest projects related to the identification and study of high-value primary care providers. His prior research interests include public reporting of health outcomes, healthcare technology adoption, diffusion of management practices, and organizational culture.
Tommy obtained a B.S. from MIT in economics and a Ph.D. from Harvard University in economics with a focus on healthcare and organizations.
