Genny manages grantmaking for the Office of the President with a focus on cross-foundation and cross-sectoral opportunities, and she works with the Environmental Conservation Program on special projects and communications.
Genny joined the Moore Foundation in 2001, managing media relations and working to drive programmatic impact through strategic communications. From 2005-2008, she earned master’s degrees in international relations and environmental management from Yale University, with a concentration on integrated conservation and development. She returned to Moore in 2008, having served during the intervening years as a summer associate in the David & Lucile Packard Foundation’s Conservation and Science Program and as a research fellow for the Environmental Grantmakers Association. Previously, she worked in editorial production at National Geographic Magazine, in the community service and adventure travel arm of the Sierra Club and in the environmental certification partnerships program at Green Seal.
Genny received a B.A. with honors in English literature from Vanderbilt University.
