As chief administrative officer, Ken oversees the core operations of the foundation. Specifically, grants administration, facilities, finance, human resources and IT report to him. As chief program officer, he oversees the foundation’s grantmaking, supporting local conservation and informal science learning. .
At the foundation for more than a decade, Ken has also served as director of evaluation, information technology and facilities, and as research director.
Previously, Ken spent a quarter century in management positions in the high tech industry at Signetics Corporation and most recently at Philips Semiconductors as the director of global supply chain logistics and customer fulfillment (APICS CPIM certified).
Ken co-founded and has served as 10-year board president of the Bullis Charter School, one of the top-10 highest performing public schools in California. He also serves on the boards of the Exploratorium, the California Institute of Technology, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the Moore Family Foundation. Ken holds a degree in business administration, and lives with his wife and two children in Los Altos Hills.
