We support science-rich educational institutions that create greater scientific awareness

The San Francisco Bay Area is home to a vibrant and diverse ecosystem of science-rich educational institutions that support opportunities for meaningful connections to science and technology. Our primary strategy is to work through the area’s science and technology centers and museums, which are poised to have broad reach and impact.

Key grantees include the California Academy of Sciences, Chabot Space and Science Center, Exploratorium, Lawrence Hall of Science and the Tech Museum of Innovation.

The San Francisco Bay Area remains a leader among science and technology centers, where all Bay Area youth and families have opportunities for quality out-of-school science learning experiences that inspire and deepen interest in science.
