Biography
Zoe Hunton is an attorney specializing in the law of nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, with a focus on private foundation law.
As associate general counsel of the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation, she provides legal support for the foundation's grantmaking and operations.
Before joining the foundation, Zoe owned and operated Hunton Law, a law practice serving nonprofit and charitable organizations in California. Prior to that, she practiced estate planning and business law at Jorgenson, Siegel, McClure & Flegel, LLP. She began her career in the nonprofit sector in Boston and Providence, holding positions in education policy, nonprofit capacity building, and community development.
Zoe received a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Brown University and a law degree from UC Davis School of Law.
She serves as a board member and volunteer for several nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area.
