Biography

Vy oversees all aspects of finance operations and accounting, including approving grants and payable transactions, preparing monthly financial statements and reports, managing the annual operating budget and forecast process, and the foundation’s annual financial audit and tax filings.

Before joining the foundation, Vy served as a senior auditor at Deloitte, working with real estate investment trusts, private equity groups, hotels, solar energy companies and private foundations, such as the Packard Humanities Institute. She volunteers as a mentor for the Sweet Dreams Project, an independent business run by participants in the Sewing and Fashion Education program at Turning Heads, a nonprofit that provides vocational arts education and entrepreneurship training to young women in San Francisco. Vy also recently traveled to Uganda as a volunteer for Kleos Microfinance Group, an organization focused on third world development.

Vy graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco with a B.S in accounting. She is also a CPA and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and CalCPA.
