Sutep Laohavanich


Sutep's background and experience has focused on serving older adults and vulnerable populations through the creation and implementation of healthcare and long-term care delivery systems.

Prior to joining the foundation, he managed two separate Health Care Innovation Awards at the University of California, San Francisco and at the Pacific Business Group on Health; funded by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation aimed at serving high-risk beneficiaries and care delivery innovation. Sutep has also consulted for state units on aging and health services in Hawaii, Alaska, Illinois and Minnesota in long-term supports and services focused on home and community based services. Earlier in his career, Sutep was an information systems developer at Merck Research Laboratories in vaccine development.

Sutep has a master's in gerontology from the University of Southern California, Davis School and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology.
