Sonya supports grant development and management for the Science Program’s Curiosity-Driven Science Initiative.
Prior to joining the foundation, Sonya interned at Research!America, where she helped advocate for increased federal support for health-related research. As a student, Sonya conducted research on the intersection of health disparities and emerging technology. Other experiences include serving as a writing tutor, working on student film sets, and assisting with ecology fieldwork in central California.
Sonya received her B.A. from Wesleyan University, where she majored in biology and American studies.
