Julia focuses on the Science Program’s practices in measurement and evaluation, working with program staff on ongoing measurement efforts, leading internal strategy reviews and managing external evaluations of the program’s strategies.

Biography

In her role as an adaptive management and evaluation officer, Julia focuses on the Science Program’s practices in measurement and evaluation, which includes working with program staff on ongoing measurement efforts, leading internal strategy reviews and managing external evaluations of the program’s strategies.

Julia previously held the position of program manager for the Science Program. Prior to this, she served as the program associate for the Science Program’s Marine Microbiology Initiative. Before joining the foundation, Julia held biology and chemistry teaching assistant positions at Oberlin College and also worked as a biochemistry intern at University of California, Berkeley. Julia’s range of volunteer experiences includes working with refugee resettlement programs, volunteering in hospitals, and tutoring high school students in math and science.

Julia received a bachelors with honors in biology and a minor in chemistry from Oberlin College, a masters of science in measurement and evaluation from American University, and a certificate in advanced project management from Stanford University.
