Jeenal supports the full life cycle of grant development and management for the Patient Care Program.
Previously, Jeenal interned at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital’s Bariatric Department, where she researched the correlation of postpartum depression and obesity, the impact of bone malnourishment in post-bariatric surgery patients, and building bone density in water for bariatric patients with osteoporosis and osteopenia. She also created educational materials to improve chronic health conditions for bariatric patients. Through Jeenal’s independent study at UIUC’s Demography of Health and Aging Lab, she also researched the increasing educational inequalities in self-rated health in Brazil. Jeenal’s other experiences include being on both the outreach and operations team at the Avicenna Community Health Center, a free health clinic for the uninsured and underinsured.
Jeenal received a B.S. in community health with a concentration in health planning and administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
