Biography

Daniel is the patient care fellow in diagnostic excellence. He oversees a portfolio of grants directed at reducing harms from diagnostic errors and accelerating diagnostic excellence.

Daniel is a practicing hospitalist and a board-certified internal medicine physician. He completed his residency training at the University of California, San Francisco. He subsequently completed a healthcare systems design fellowship at Stanford University's Clinical Excellence Research Center prior to starting his current position at the foundation. His prior research interests included work in HIV prevention and dementia care model design.

Daniel received his B.S. in Biological Sciences and his M.D. at the University of Illinois Chicago.
