Sean is based in Washington, D.C. and manages the foundation's grant portfolio for United States ocean policy and conservation. This includes federal fisheries, offshore energy, habitat conservation and other issues that help advance conservation in U.S. ocean waters and the North American Arctic.

Biography

Sean’s work in the Marine Conservation Initiative focuses on the implementation of U.S. domestic policy strategies to support and advance habitat conservation, sustainable fisheries and healthy ocean ecosystems in the North American Arctic. Sean has over 30 years’ experience as a conservation advocate and previously worked as Director of Campaigns for the Conservation Law Foundation. Sean has also worked for a range of public land and conservation organizations.

Sean earned a B.S. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in History from Western Washington University, where he graduated with honors from Huxley College of the Environment.
