Research Description

Masha Kamenetska is exploring how light and matter can combine inside nanoscale cavities to create new quantum states. Her team is developing a new experimental approach that combines single-molecule measurements with ultrafast laser techniques, allowing researchers to watch how light and electrons behave and interact at the smallest scales.

Research Impact

Professor Kamenetska’s research could answer fundamental questions about factors affecting quantum coherence in nanocavities by studying how these hybrid light-matter states form, change, and disappear. The work could reveal new ways to control quantum states in molecular systems, opening possibilities for future quantum technologies and ultrasensitive sensors.
