Research Description

Bryce Gadway is interested in exploring the frontiers of many-body quantum physics experimentally through analog quantum simulations. Addressing this problem provides a framework for how complex properties and phenomena emerge from collections of simple constituent particles. His research aims to explore highly complex quantum systems that lie outside of the realm typically considered in the context of condensed matter physics. His team’s use of multiple atomic species in dipolar Rydberg array experiments has the potential to open new possibilities for the engineering of exotic Hamiltonians in active quantum matter.

Research Impact

Dr. Gadway hopes to increase our understand of how many quantum particles behave together, and to improve the tools for quantum computing, sensing, and simulation.
