Research Description

Karthish Manthiram strives to sustainably synthesize the physical world beginning from water, air, and sunlight. Manthiram's group develops electrically powered catalysts that orchestrate a molecular-level dance in which molecules like water, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide rearrange chemical bonds to form plastics, fuels, and fertilizers.
