Dr. Bhamla invents low-cost tools to overcome global health challenges through frugal science. With more than 1 billion people living on less than $2 a day, Saad and his team create affordable, accessible, and scalable technologies that can impact billions. Saad's notable inventions include a low-cost paper centrifuge for malaria diagnostics, a low-cost electroporator for DNA/mRNA vaccine delivery, and an ultra-low-cost hearing aid for age-related hearing loss. This proposed new technology will bring modern medical tests to billions of people in remote and low-resource areas around the world.
