Research Description

Mona Jarrahi is a professor of electrical and computer engineering at UCLA. She is a recipient of the 2013 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.

Jarrahi’s invention is an imaging tool to help researchers understand how fundamental biological molecules such as cells behave in their natural environment. This tool will help answer fundamental physical questions that are not possible through existing technologies.
