In support of the further development and implementation of Integrated Resource Management and Productive Activity plans for 8.5 million hectares of Indigenous Lands in the Upper Negro River, and the creation and placement under effective management an additional two million hectare mosaic of Protected Areas and Indigenous Lands in the Middle Negro River. Instituto Socioambiental will also coordinate the design and promote the implementation of science- and consensus-based monitoring standards to effectively manage and mitigate threats to Protected Areas and Indigenous Lands in the Brazilian Amazon.
