In support of engineering, testing, and deploying a novel sampling system for mineral particles and microbial cells that preserves the delicate chemical and genetic features of the samples at the time of collection. This equipment will enable high precision spatial and temporal observations in a range of aquatic environments to further the research community's understanding of complex microbial and geochemical interactions.
