Established in 1965, the Good Samaritan Hospital’s facilities are located in Silicon Valley—the main campus in San Jose and the Mission Oaks campus in Los Gatos. The 474-bed, acute care hospital is recognized as a leader in neurosciences, high risk obstetrics, comprehensive cancer services, advanced cardiology and innovative surgery techniques.

Good Samaritan was the first of five hospitals in the country and the first in Santa Clara County to earn the stroke-certified hospital designation. It is also an accredited chest pain center and a county-designated ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) receiving center.  Good Samaritan has garnered numerous awards from organizations such as the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Cardiovascular Patient Care.

The Silicon Valley community hospital also sponsors numerous programs including parenting classes, cancer support groups, Consult-A-Nurse resources and the online iTriage symptom checker.
