To support the establishment of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, a novel scientific collaboration that will generate policy relevant science on biodiversity and ecosystem services. Funding will be used to increase awareness and encourage full participation of civil society in the governance and operations of the platform so that it is recognized by the policy and science communities for providing high quality and scientifically sound information to decision makers.
