UCSF’s Center for the Health Professions is using this grant to teach leadership and management skills to hospital executives, managers, and nursing staff. Through this program, the Center will also help 16 Bay Area hospitals develop and implement organization-specific strategies to improve nursing staff retention and nursing-related patient care. Outcomes include a 50% improvement in any single effectiveness indicator or an aggregate average of 25% improvement across all indicators in 16 Bay Area hospitals.
