Community Seismic Network

For developing a dense, affordable Community Seismic Network for use in potential earthquake regions and demonstration of its capability in the Pasadena region. The network will employ large numbers of heterogeneous sensors, including sensors attached to desktop computers and in cell phones, which will be capable of sending data to a distributed "cloud computing" system and producing detailed maps of ground and building shaking intensity soon after a significant earthquake.
