Conservation International uses science, fieldwork and partnerships to advance the global conservation movement. Through partnerships with more than 2,000 organizations in over 30 countries, Conservation International manages thousands of projects worldwide.
Strategies include protecting natural resources, fostering effective governance and promoting sustainability. The organization has helped establish more than 1,200 protected acres across 78 countries and preserve over 740 million hectares of land, marine and coastal areas. Conservation International works with governments to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to enact policies that are good for their people and generations to come. The organization also works with companies to make sure invasive industries, such as mining, energy and agriculture, don’t impose negative impacts on the environment. Measurement tools such as the Ocean Health Index and Vital Signs Program enable data collection, ecosystem mapping and monitoring to inform policy decisions and resource protection efforts.
Our work with Conservation International ranges from supporting the conservation of Micronesia’s marine and terrestrial resources to developing investment funds for sustainable small businesses.
Thank you for sharing.
