Forest Ethics, founded in 2000 and with offices in California, Washington and Vancouver, is a grassroots environmental organization that creates solutions that protect communities, wildlife, wilderness and our climate.
ForestEthics demands environmental responsibility from government and major corporations and uses public education, advocacy, protest, negotiation and non-violent direct action tactics to achieve its goals. The organization’s markets solutions department aims to expose poor environmental business practices and offers solutions for improvement, providing resources for companies who want to do better but who need guidance. Initiatives have included the Healthy Forests Campaign and the Extreme Oil Campaign, among others.
ForestEthics has successfully partnered with dozens of corporations in the United States such as 3M, Dell, Staples, Office Depot, Victoria’s Secret and Williams-Sonoma. As a result, these corporate partners have become influential leaders on critical environmental issues.
