Located in Queens, New York, the New York Hall of Science is a center for interactive science, presenting 450 exhibits, demonstrations, workshops and participatory activities that explain science, technology, engineering and math. Founded at the 1964 World’s Fair, the museum serves half a million students, families and teachers each year in its 100,000-square-foot indoor space and outdoor science playground and rocket park.

New York Hall of Science offers professional development for teachers, produces curricula and resources for classrooms, and studies how technology, gaming and play affect how we learn. The museum offers online teacher programs for incorporating its iPad apps into the classroom, STEM institutes where teachers work alongside museum educators in customizable programs and virtual visits using a variety of videoconferencing technologies. The Maker Space is a learning environment where children, teens, adults and families can tinker, design and create together. And the Alan J. Friedman Center for the Development of Young Scientists offers programs to cultivate the interests and careers of young scientists.
