Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
Founded in 1999, Ag Innovations facilitates positive social change through dynamic leadership collaborations that drive food system innovation. Its work stimulates breakthrough thinking to ensure access to healthy food for future generations.
Through research and data along with public engagement, training and multi-agency partnerships, the organization addresses working lands, local food and water issues. It also convenes “social innovation labs” that bring groups together to create new solutions and tools for the field.
Ag Innovations has actively grown groups like the California Roundtable on Water and Food Supply and the California Roundtable on Agriculture and the Environment. While located in Northern California, the organization works with groups across the country, including the Beard Foundation and Second Harvest Food Bank, to design new ways of thinking, acting and communicating about food system solutions.
