Established in 1980, Grupo de Analisis para el Desarrollo (Group for the Analysis of Development) is a private, nonprofit research center based in Lima. Its mission is to develop applied research to stimulate and enrich the debate, design and implementation of public policy in Peru.

The center’s human development studies address health, nutrition and education issues. The organization builds bridges between academic research and the public sector through publications, conferences, seminars, workshops and other events. The majority of researchers at the organization also teach at universities in Lima or in other Peruvian provinces.
