Founded in 1971, NatureBridge provides hands-on environmental science programs for children and teens to foster environmental literacy to sustain the planet. The organization offers multi-day outdoor programs that take place in national parks in Yosemite, Golden Gate, Olympic, Santa Monica Mountains, Channel Islands and Prince William Forest.

A national leader in the field of environmental education, NatureBridge serves more than 700 schools and 30,000 students and teachers each year at its six campuses. The organization strives to make its programs available to students from all communities and works to bring students from underserved communities to it programs and to national parks. Working with small groups of elementary, middle and high school students, NatureBridge educators bring science to life in national parks through walks, hikes, scrambles, explorations and overnight backcountry expeditions. The organization offers naturalist-led hikes and nature programs for families and internships and adventures for teens. It also provides resources, teaching tips and workshops for classroom teachers and outdoor professionals.
