This grant to Johns Hopkins University will support the development of a novel shared computational resource for the scientific analysis of large data sets, spreading across several scientific domains, from astronomy to turbulence research and to environmental science. The system will provide various services to the users, and enables very high, parallel throughput to access and analyze data located in several multi-Terabyte databases.
