The University of Washington will use this grant to establish an international program for the study of Pacific salmon biodiversity. The biodiversity program will develop new salmon genetics techniques and facilitate international coordination of genetics studies and data storage in an effort to establish pan-Pacific baselines for salmon stock identification.
