Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
To develop open-source, evidence-based, predictive ecosystem models of the physical and biological factors that contribute to the intensity, scale, and duration of seasonal oxygen minimum zones. These predictive models will also explore how seasonal low-oxygen environments are likely to respond to future environmental change and the possible consequences for microbially mediated global biogeochemical cycles.
