This week, PRI-The World radio featured a story about the Great Bear Rainforest. The story highlights the thoughts of activists who have fought to protect the Great Bear Rainforest from logging and other development for over 20 years. The rainforest is part of the world’s largest temperate coastal rainforest and it’s home to thousand-year-old cedar trees and some of the rarest animal species in the world.

This first installment of the story is available for listening or reading on PRI-The World’s website by Andrea Crossan — The Great Bear Rainforest is a model for how to save trees
