Biography

Sherry provides administrative support to the Conservation and Markets Initiatives within the foundation’s Environmental Conservation Program.

Sherry joined the foundation after six and a half years at Stanford University as an administrative assistant in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and as an executive assistant in the Dean’s Office at Stanford Law School. For three of those years she supported a senior associate vice provost and biology professor who advocates for conservation and climate change issues, which led to her interest in supporting environmental conservation efforts. Prior to joining the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Sherry worked most of her career in educational nonprofit organizations and served on a local Stanford alumni board for several years.

Sherry’s earlier background includes five years in the performing arts with a dance company based in Brussels, Belgium, where she traveled and performed internationally. She lived in Belgium, France and England and speaks French and Italian.

Sherry earned a B.A. in linguistics with distinction from Stanford University.
