Grantees at the Stanford Human Interaction Lab debuted a two-part virtual reality experience at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City this week. The Crystal Reef, a 360 degree spherical video, explores the basic science behind ocean acidification. The second part of the exhibit allowed participants to dive deeper (literally) into the topic, taking a virtual reality tour of the ocean floor – with participants becoming scientists, swimming through the water and collecting samples along the way.
