Last week, the foundation announced two pieces of news from our conservation program: one, a recommitment to our long running Andes-Amazon Initiative, and the other, a series of collaborations in our Forests and Agricultural Markets, Oceans and Seafood Markets, and Conservation and Financial Markets initiatives. Taken together, these announcements illustrate our belief in the importance of a diversity of approaches to conservation—from working on place-based approaches to helping communities conserve indigenous lands and protected areas to focusing on global commodities and encouraging more sustainable agriculture and seafood supply chains.
