Beyond our grants portfolio, we support a variety of activities to expose and explore new challenges, catalyze new connections among scientists, and address barriers currently hindering progress in the field. These activities include convening groups of researchers and sponsoring workshops, symposiums and conferences to promote scientific exchange around topics of critical importance to the marine microbial ecology and related communities. We also support courses for researchers at varying career stages and training the next generation of researchers.
