Grant Attribution Language

Grant attribution language

We believe that innovation occurs when we invest in outstanding ideas and exceptional people who are committed to pushing the boundaries of discovery. We’re excited about our grantees’ work, and if you will be acknowledging or are being recognized for work related to Moore funding—publications, press, or other channels—we’d love to hear about it. We’d also like to ask that you use the following attribution language in projects, publications, etc. that recognize your work:

Attribution for full grant funding:

“This [research, publication, project, Web site, report, etc., is/was] funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation through Grant #XXXX to [PI’s name, initials or host institution].”

Attribution for partial grant funding:

“This [research, publication, project, Web site, report, etc., is/was] funded in part by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation through Grant #XXXX to [PI’s name, initials or host institution].”

Using the unique grant identifier included in this text will help the Science Program staff to follow the activity and track the impact of our grants more effectively, and should also make it easier for you to track the impact of your Moore-funded work.
