Gordon Moore, co-founder of Intel Corporation, along with his wife Betty Irene Moore, established their Foundation in 2000 with the
goal of “creating positive outcomes for future generations.” The Foundation is expanding its focus and commitment within healthcare through
the launch of the new Patient Care Program, the first new program established by the Foundation in almost a decade. The program aims for a
comprehensive, critical shift in healthcare in our country that will improve quality and safety, decrease costs, and ensure dignity and
respect to both patients and those who serve them. The Patient Care Program will build on and include the extraordinary achievements of
both the Betty Irene Moore Nursing Initiative and the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the University of California, Davis.
