Purpose
In support of the development of a next-generation high-speed digital data acquisition system for the Event Horizon Telescope—-a worldwide network of millimeter-wave telescopes that will have the greatest resolving power of any astronomical instrument ever assembled, and allow imaging of the "surface" (event horizon) of a supermassive black hole.
