Isolation Method:
|
1 cm3 of sponge tissue was ground in sterile artificial seawater and serial dilutions of sponge homogenate were plated on Difco Marine Agar 2216 (BD Biosciences, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA). Plates were incubated at 30 degrees C for a week. Colonies were streak-plated and pure isolates were cryopreserved.
