Purpose
In support of the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the University of California, Davis for the enrollment and graduation of PhD and MS students; faculty recruitment and development; internal evaluation methodology; revenue generation streams; and development of a plan for the launch of a Bachelors of Science in Nursing pre-licensure program in the Fall 2015. | Term | Amount | Date Approved | | 24 mo. | $21,197,734 | Jul. 2007 |
Purpose
This grant, the first of several grants, intends to create an innovative nursing education model leading to new leaders in healthcare and allows UC Davis to launch the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. During the two year grant term, UC Davis will recruit and hire key personnel, faculty and staff; develop curriculum; market the program; and build it’s development capabilities to raise additional funds to support the school. Pending approvals from the University’s Academic Senate, the UC Board of Regents, the Board of Registered Nursing, the California Postsecondary Education Commission and other entities, UC Davis anticipates admitting its first students in masters and doctorate programs to the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing in the fall of 2008. | | University of California, Davis Health System
