Consolidation of Protected Areas in the Brazilian Amazon

In support of introducing user-friendly, interactive features into the web-based monitoring system for protected areas to enable customized reporting to address specific demands that arise regarding protected areas. Resource management techniques will be codified through the development of curricular materials to be used in training a new generation of indigenous land managers for application across 8.5 million hectares of Indigenous Lands in the Upper Negro River Basin. A redesigned planning process for the territorial ordering and land management of the Middle Negro River Basin will be completed, with supporting documents and maps published.
