Terrestrial Carbon Accounting for REDD

To create a viable and broadly-agreed-upon approach to forest accounting that could be used for the inclusion of Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The design of a comprehensive terrestrial carbon approach will help to ensure that nations with very different amounts of remaining forest and deforestation rates could all receive compensation for reducing carbon emissions from deforestation, and forest degradation as well as other land-use changes.
