Purpose
?In support of an analysis and planning tools for reducing deforestation and forest degradation and associated greenhouse gas emissions in the tri-national Madre de Dios, Acre, Pando region of the Andes-Amazon basin, currently under threat by the planned paving of the Inter-Oceanic Highway. The project will establish a consultation and capacity building processes with the stakeholders in the region who will both implement measures to reduce deforestation and receive compensation for carbon credits generated from this reduction.
