Purpose
In support of the University of California, San Diego to establish a community resource and intellectual center that will facilitate and create revolutionary knowledge advances in marine microbial ecology, the microbial ecology of other natural environments, and evolutionary biology. Outcomes for this grant include construction of a central genomic and metagenomics data repository and a suite of tools for analysis and visualization that provides open, easy access to the international scientific community.
