Purpose
This grant to Rutgers Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences supports the work of Dr. Falkowski and his team who are seeking to gain new knowledge regarding the evolutionary history of microbes. Outcomes for this grant include identification of the metabolic activities of microbes from a seven-million-year-old glacial ice core.
