Program Associate, Science
As a Science Program associate, Jasan supports the Data-Driven Discovery Initiative, Imaging Molecular Interactions portfolio and Plant Science Collaboration with Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
Previously, Jasan conducted molecular biology research and managed the microorganism collection at a biotechnology company. He is an active nonprofit volunteer as a member of the Alumni Advisory Board for First Descents, which offers free outdoor adventure camps for young adult cancer patients and survivors, and planning committee for Courageous Kids, an annual American Cancer Society event billed as “a day for kids away from cancer.” He also participates in the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program as a peer reviewer for clinical trials and cancer research grants.
Jasan received an M.S. in microbiology from Loma Linda University and a B.A. in biology from Whittier College. He also completed a Master of Nonprofit Administration at the University of San Francisco.
