Sasha provides a broad range of legal counsel to the foundation’s operations and grant-making activities. Her work also supports the foundation’s efforts to further its impact through advocacy.
Sasha’s practice focuses on the tax laws affecting private foundations, program-related investments and complex legal issues in grant-making. She is also one of the founding members of the group of private foundations that created www.learnfoundationlaw.org.
Previously, Sasha worked at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where she represented public agencies in municipal bond financings. Prior to attending law school, she worked at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, where she supported corporate, securities and venture capital financing transactions for technology and emerging growth companies.
Sasha holds a bachelor's degree with honors from Stanford University and a J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. She is admitted to practice law in California.
