Program Associate, Marine Conservation
Natalie supports the strategic grantmaking process for the Marine Conservation Initiative to ensure healthy marine ecosystems for sustainable use.
Before joining the Marine Conservation team, Natalie worked in the communications and human resources departments at the foundation for which she supported various internal and online communications projects as well as HR processes such as performance management and payroll.
Prior to her work at the foundation, Natalie worked in business and operations management for two San Francisco Bay Area clean technology startups. She also worked for two years at Humane Society International, where she provided research for, developed and implemented wildlife protection policies and campaigns.
Natalie obtained her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in English writing from High Point University and her master’s degree in wildlife conservation from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Her graduate school research focused on balancing ecosystem needs through sustainability.
